A sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, was released on October 1, 2021, and Venom 3 is scheduled for release on November 8, 2024. Despite being negatively received by critics, the film became the seventh-highest-grossing film of 2018 with over $856 million worldwide and set several box office records for an October release. Venom premiered at the Regency Village Theater on October 1, 2018, and was theatrically released in the United States on October 5. Ludwig Göransson was hired to compose the film's score, marking his second Marvel film after Black Panther (2018). The film was primarily inspired by the comic book miniseries Venom: Lethal Protector (1993) and the story arc " Planet of the Symbiotes" (1995). Filming took place from October 2017 to January 2018 in Atlanta, New York City, and San Francisco. Marcel subsequently joined to rewrite the script. In March 2017, Rosenberg and Pinkner were set to write, with Fleischer and Hardy added in May. Sony also intended for Venom to share the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), but ultimately distanced the film from Spider-Man. In March 2016, work began on a new version that would start a new shared universe featuring the non-Spider-Man Marvel characters that the studio possessed film rights to. In the film, struggling journalist Eddie gains superpowers after becoming the host of an alien symbiote, Venom, whose species plans to invade Earth.Īfter Venom's appearance in Spider-Man 3 (2007), Sony attempted to develop a spin-off film based on the character but it did not move forward due to issues with Sony's ongoing Spider-Man franchise. It stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and Venom alongside Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, and Reid Scott. The first film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU), it was directed by Ruben Fleischer from a screenplay by the writing team of Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg, along with Kelly Marcel. I wish US had the PnP setup like SF has with the champion soundboard.Venom is a 2018 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Tencent Pictures, Marvel, Arad Productions, Matt Tolmach Productions, and Pascal Pictures, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It would probably be simpler for me to go with a PnP setup and I definitely want to change to a lighted push switch. I haven't soldered anything since vo-tech like 15 years ago but I still remember the basics. I'm totally new at all this and don't know very much about the wattage, voltage, amperage specs for doing a mod like this yet. Is it better to get the PnP champion soundboard and do like Kouri suggested or try and go for the sabercore 2.0 like Jas suggested. Jas or Kouri or anyone else that can answer this particular point for my possible future mod of this saber. I know I've got to drill out the pommel for sound. To give an update on my saber I got today and in regards to my question. If you get one of the older v2 hilts, you'll have no choice but to drill out the included pommel since they don't use MHS threading. If you get a V3/V4 hilt, the easiest solution is to buy a replacement MHS pommel. The solid pommels are really thick aluminum, so you might have some trouble drilling through. You'll need a vented pommel to let sound out. You can buy a Momentary Guarded switch from US as a direct replacement for the Latching Guarded switch it comes with, or you can re-drill the switch hole to 12mm (1/2") and drop in an SF Momentary 12mm AV.ģ) The SF Champion kit is intended to fit inside a 1 1/8" ID - while most grab bags have a 1 1/4" ID, so you'll probably need a bit of velcro wrapped around the kit to keep it from banging around the hilt.Ĥ) Grab bags come with solid pommels. US tends to cheap out in this aspect, and just expects you to sandwich the LED module between the switch and blade - which is why a plug is mandatory on their budget hilts, and why their LED modules rattle around.Ģ) You'll need a momentary switch. Just a few notes:ġ) You'll need to drill & tap an 8-32 screw hole to retain the LED along with a 1/8"-1/4" 8-32 set screw. Mmmm~ Should be fairly-compatible with a US Grab Bag, actually, if you can get the grab bag gutted alright.
